The Letter "J"
Today, most Christians know that their Savior walked the Earth, died, and rose from the dead about 2000 years ago, but what they don’t realize is that the name Jesus is about 400 years old, and that it is not in any book published in the 1500's. A lot of Christians pray to a different name than the one he was given at his birth. Most have evangelized to others using the name “Jesus”, because that was given to them by today’s Christianity, from the very institution/theocracy that persecuted the early Christians: The Papacy and the Roman Catholic Church. While the Messiah’s followers and others in His time called Him by his real name, Yahshua, Christian leaders who are aware of it, claim that the name Jesus is the English version; not grasping that the only thing English about his name is the letter “J”, which, even the first edition of the 1611 King James version didn’t use, because it didn’t exist, or how “they” prefer affirming: “wasn’t mainstream or widely used yet.” The first English-language book to make a clear distinction between the sound of "I" and the sound of "J" was not written until 1634 This portion of writing about the letter ‘J’, is to shine light on the history and truth of the letter “J”. The letter that was slipped into the Word of Yahweh, both in the Old Testament and New Testament.
The letter “J” is the tenth letter of the American English alphabet used for the modern English language. It is also used in other languages, including French, German, and Spanish. It has been said that the letter “J” evolved from the letter ‘I’. In Europe, during the Middle Ages (A.D. 400’s through the 1500’s), scribes began writing a lengthened form of ‘I’ at the end of a word. They used this form especially for Roman Numerals, such as VIII (the numeral for eight). After the invention of printing press in the late 1400’s, the long tailed ‘I’, which began to look like ‘J’ was used at the beginning of a word, while an ordinary ‘I’ was used in the middle. The ‘J’ began to be used as a consonant sound in France around 1620, and the English printers soon followed this practice. But ‘I’ and ‘J’ were not considered to be separate letters until 1801, with the publication of William Perry’s Royal Standard English Dictionary. Perry’s dictionary was the first to alphabetize words separately under ‘I’ and ‘J’ (The World Book Encyclopedia Volume 11. (2011). Pg. 1) The ‘J’ did not come into full use until around the 17th Century. The letter ‘j’ was the last of the 26 letters to be added to the English Alphabet. Originally being a typographical Roman I, it wasn't until after the 1611-year Bible was published, that the English language officially accepted the shape and sound of the letter ‘J’ as ‘Jae’ and no longer the ‘Y’ or ‘Yah’ sound. Most Pastors (new era Christianity or as one man called it: “Churchianity”), teach that “Jesus” is the modern English form of the Hebrew name. When in fact, Jesus is a Latin gimmick contributed by the powers at be from the Roman Catholic Church. The Pastors who defend the word Jesus as the Savior’s name, preferable defense is: “we don’t speak Hebrew.” But somehow, they are speaking and teaching Latin. Not every person speaks English as their native tongue, nor was English the first language on Earth. Why not keep the Hebrew word, the true name of the Messiah?
Somehow the ‘Y’ and the letter ‘I’, was altered into the letter ‘J’ at some point, based on human traditions. The work of evil men, an attempt to hide the truth of Yahweh for their own purpose and agenda. This involved a complete rejection and replacement of the Hebrew letter ‘Y’. In the Hebrew aleph-bet there is no letter ‘J’, and no ‘J’ sound. The references below demonstrate very clearly that biblical names, words, or phrases with ‘J’ are a corruption of the Hebrew ‘Y’ and its accompanying sound. If we would pronounce them as a ‘Y’ we would be closer to the correct sound. But few people today even recognize this is a possibility. As a result, they misled people and kept the truth from being discovered. How could archeologist find an ancient site of a historical place when the “current” name is totally different from the original? How would anyone find evidence of a person’s existence, searching for the wrong name? How do you propagate a lie when a lot of people know the truth? You would have to kill them all, hence the persecution of the early Christians. At least the ones who are loyal to truth would have to be killed, the others would remain quiet, in fear of dying a horrible death. It would be good for Christianity, to change the ‘J’s and return back to the ‘Y's, which would ultimately lead to the truth, and a more accurate version of Yahweh’s word. Just one letter, changed “thought” for centuries. An Evil man once said: “If you control language, you control thought.”-George Soros, formally known as György Švarc, or George Schwartz. Here are some examples how just changing one letter makes a big difference.
“Churchianity” told us that Yahshua’s (Jesus) brother was named James. Not only did they give us a different nationality, but also changed the name of Yahshua’s brother Ya’akov. You can’t find ancient artifacts from the city of Yahrushalayim when you are looking under the city name “Jerusalem”. The average Christian doesn’t know that the word HalleluYah has their loving father’s name in it, and that Yah is the short form of his name, which is recorded in the Bible: Exodus 15:2, Psalm 68:4, Psalm 135, Exodus 17:16, Psalms 68:18, Psalms 89:8, Isaiah 12:2, a lot more times in Psalms, and a few more times in Isaiah if you are looking up in the main stream Bible. Many names of Old Testament writers such as YeshaYah (Isaiah), YirmeYah (Jeremiah), and TsephanYah (Zephaniah), end with this first part (Yah) of the sacred Name.
The name "Jesus" is a combination of the Greek Ἰησοῦς (IÄ“sous) and the Latin Iesus. Greeks had adopted and modified the Hebrew-Phoenician alphabet, which the Romans adopted from the Greek. Thirteen letters were accepted as unchanged from the Greek: A, B, E, H, I, K, M, N, O, T, X, Y, Z. Eight letters were revised: C, D, G, L, P, R, S, V, and two letters were added: F and Q. This gave the Romans a total of 23 letters, all that were needed to write Latin. The Romans also dropped the Greek designations for the letters, such as alpha, beta, gamma, for the simple A, B, C's that we know today. The letters U and W were added to the alphabet about 1,000 years ago, and the J was added between 500 to 600 years after that, (taken from "Designing with Type," pp. 12-13). Clearly, the name of the Savior was changed from Yahshua, through contraction, to Joshua (then Jeshua). Evidence that the Y in His name took on the J is found in Acts 7:45, and Hebrews 4:8, where translators of the King James Version inserted "Jesus" when Joshua, the son of Nun, was meant.
An early official appearance of the letter ‘J,’ is in June of 1632 within an English legal brief prepared from the Court of the High Commission in London England. At this same time, Harvard University College was near it’s opening in 1636. The English name was spelled this way in an official lawsuit filed against a pair of owners of an Amsterdam print shop who were printing Bibles for gain (profit). Their edition bears the date “1631-1632”. The pair willfully engaged in dishonorable publishing and “made grievous errors.” The evidence of their production of a Bible without quality, (a printing disgrace known commonly as ‘the Wicked Bible.’) was a printing mistake: “Thou Shalt commit Adultery” (the word ‘NOT’ was missing), yet the spelling “Jesus” was written within the court’s document (never written within their version of the Bible).
Is it important to use the real name of the Messiah, or is it okay to use a name that was conceived by evil men with evil intentions? Would I want strangers to lie to my kids by telling them a different name of their Dad that describes a different nationality? Would I want my kids to think I was Chinese, when in truth I was Mexican? Would they be misled if they were black along with everybody else in their family were black, yet strangers told them that their Dad was white, when he was black himself. Wouldn’t it wise to preserve the truth and history of man by preserving a people, their culture, their language, from the beginning of human kind and instructing them not to confirm to other nations of the world and their customs, languages, and people, instead of trying to preserve an item or written text that can easily be counterfeited. It makes perfect sense, why there are always evil people trying to destroy the Jewish people, the people that crossed over, or passed through the Jordan river. Here at Real Hope, not only do we believe that the individual needs to make that choice, but also the appointed time will come as they search for the truth and learn more. Then they will be at the right time in their life to make the choice to follow man-made traditions, or to desire the truth. We are not here to condemn anyone or shame people for using the name Jesus. We still use the names God and Jesus, we have loves one who still do, and most of us came to the Father that way. It is best for people to research for themselves and to make that decision on their own just as they are responsible for their own relationship with the Father and his Son.
