Called Out From This World
"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and Yahweh has remembered her iniquities." - Hazon 18:4, 5 (Revaltion 18:4, 5)
As Yahweh calls His people out from the world, away from immorality and man-made religion, we at Crossing Jordan believe it is essential not to blend our faith with the religious systems and traditions of the world.
History shows that human agendas have influenced religious institutions and even the transmission of Scripture. Because of this, we seek to measure every teaching and tradition against the full counsel of Yahweh’s Word rather than accepting interpretations shaped by political power, institutional authority, or cultural pressure. We believe much of what is known as Christianity today has been shaped by developments within the Roman religious system beginning in the time of Constantine. For this reason, we abstain from Roman church traditions and authority structures, including those rooted in later institutional movements.
We also reject pagan philosophies and cultural practices that have been merged into worship, and we do not accept linguistic or philosophical frameworks simply because they are considered legitimate by tradition or scholarship. Our desire is to return to a faith grounded in Yahweh’s original intent and the teachings of Yahshua.
Yahweh chose Yisrael as His covenant people, and although many rejected Yahshua, we look forward to the promised restoration and revival of the nation as they return to Yahweh. We pray for and support Yisrael and affirm that Yahweh’s purposes for her have not failed.
At the same time, Scripture makes clear that covenant identity is not determined by heritage alone. From the beginning of mankind until the return of Yahshua, there have been both faithful and unfaithful individuals among every people. True loyalty to Yahweh is shown through repentance, obedience, and humility.
We also reject textual traditions and alterations that we believe distort the original meaning of Scripture for human purposes. Our commitment is to seek truth with integrity, resisting corruption, deception, and manipulation in all forms.
Our allegiance is not to religious institutions, traditions of men, or political systems, but to Yahweh alone. We seek to walk in truth, holiness, and obedience, shaped by the life and teaching of Yahshua, and separated from the corruption of the world.

The One World Religion

Hazon 17 (Revaltion 17)
“Aharon’s (Aaron) sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before Yahweh, contrary to his command. So, fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh. Mosheh (Moses) then said to Aharon (Aaron), This is what Yahweh spoke of when he said: Among those who approach me I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored. Aharon remained silent." - Wayyiqra 10:1-3 (Leviticus 10:1-3)
It is well established in Scripture that Yahweh sets apart what belongs to Him in order to keep it pure and holy, separate from the ways of the world. A powerful example of this is recorded in the book of Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 10:1–3:
“Aharon’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before Yahweh, contrary to His command. So fire came out from the presence of Yahweh and consumed them, and they died before Yahweh. Mosheh then said to Aharon, ‘This is what Yahweh spoke when He said: Among those who approach Me I will be shown holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’ And Aharon remained silent.”
The fire they offered was considered foreign and unauthorized, not approved by Yahweh. It was profane because it did not come from what He had commanded. For this reason, Yahweh rejected their offering and judged their action. This account reveals that Yahweh does not accept worship shaped by human preference or innovation, but only what He Himself has set apart as holy.
In the same way, we believe Yahweh would not choose names, titles, or instructional forms rooted in pagan systems to represent Himself or His teachings. Yahweh did not choose Egyptian, Babylonian, Canaanite, or other cultural religious frameworks for His revelation. Instead, He chose a people, Yisrael, not because they were greater than others, but because He appointed them as His instrument to reveal His truth to the world.
Over time, however, human hands altered and reshaped the transmission of Yahweh’s written instructions and the teachings of Yahshua. These changes introduced linguistic, cultural, and religious influences that did not originate from Yahweh’s original design.
We therefore question whether Yahweh would choose to preserve His sacred name and teachings through institutions and systems that later opposed His people and distorted His message. We also reject the idea that pagan religious traditions or philosophical frameworks could serve as faithful vessels for divine truth.
Our conviction is that Yahweh is consistent in His holiness. Just as He rejected unauthorized fire, He also rejects unauthorized representation of His name and His Word. What He sets apart, He keeps distinct. What belongs to Him, He sanctifies.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." - MattithYah (Matthew) 7:7,8
We are not connected to, affiliated with, or formed out of the Sacred Name movement, the Hebrew Roots movement, or Messianic congregations. At the same time, we do not condemn or judge them as wrong. Like many within these groups, we share a sincere desire for truth and a rejection of pagan and man-made traditions that have entered into Christianity.
We at Crossing Jordan, do not claim to be the only light in the world or the only true people of Yah. Scripture itself warns that all people inherit falsehoods from those who came before them, and that scribes have written in ways that distort truth (YirmeYah / Jeremiah 16:19; 8:8). There is no single community of believers that can honestly claim to possess complete knowledge or perfect understanding.
All of us have been affected by deception, and much evidence of truth has been hidden, altered, destroyed, or counterfeited throughout history. Yet there are brothers and sisters across the world who recognize these deceptions and are awakening to the influence of secular trends, pagan practices, and the traditions of men that have corrupted the instructions and teachings of Yahweh and Yahshua.
Our desire is not to exalt ourselves above others, but to walk humbly in the pursuit of truth, repentance, and faithfulness, knowing that Yahweh continues to call His people out of error and into light.
